Centre Overview
The Finglas Youth Resource Centre has been providing youth work programmes, projects and opportunities for young people living in the Finglas community since 2004.
Key Aims & Objectives of Service
Finglas Youth Resource Centre aims to be a place of welcome, understanding, support and encouragement for young people living in the Finglas community who wish to address their social, recreational and development needs. While catering for all, the centre will proactively seek to support those most at risk of isolation in any form. It will encourage the uniqueness of the individual within an atmosphere of collectively responsibility guided by principles of equality.
Services Provided
The team offers programmes that include but are not limited to;
Leadership programmes, health awareness, adventure sports, integration programmes, sports, justice linked, peer led, art based, personal development, music, film, tv, radio, sex education, drug education, cross border programmes, education, international, schools based, street based, one to one, building young people’s capacity, community response, residential, collaborative projects with other youth programmes, training, gigs, increasing musical capacity, seasonal projects
