Centre Overview
We listen to parents concerns when they call and offer support or a link to a professional. We organise parent information evenings link up with teachers and offer them information on the disorder and also organise Seminars with professional speakers to inform people of ADD/ADHD, diagnosis, treatment etc.
We provide information and communication for all who are dealing with this disorder.
We as a group have identified the needs for us as families with children /Adolescents with ADHD.
We provide training by professionals to those who work in our community with children/adults with ADD/ADHD. We provide local schools/ teachers with information on the disorder when requested .
We supported representation on the National ADHD support group INCADDS and also the HADD family support group.
Key Aims & Objectives of Service
The key aim of the support group is to provide an information and support service to people with ADHD / ADD, their families and the local community. We give parents the opportunity to share their experience and get support from each other by providing the opportunity to attend parent information evenings with the support from HADD family support group.
